Canada's "Castle in the Rockies" has been providing legendary hospitality to guests for more than 125 years.

This Place is Amazing.
Wow. It is hard to explain how nice this place is. The employees go out of the way to make sure you are happy. The rooms are luxurious. The hotel is so historic and well kept. I just can't say enough good things about the resort. The food and drinks in the Rumble lounge were expensive and moderately tasty. The nachos could have been way better in my opinion. For $26 they were just a pile of chips with some cheese and chicken sprinkled on top. The other food looked good but I didn't try it. The lobby snack spot was very good with better prices. The services for skiers were fabulous. We will be sure and make this a favorite place to return to.
Beautiful, historic hotel with great service
This hotel was on the top of my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Bathrooms are quite small. Beds were very comfortable. Service was excellent. We spent part of a day just walking through the hotel and the grounds seeing all the offerings...restaurants, pools, ballrooms, etc.
Great Hotel!
This is the perfect beginning and end to a nice powder highway adventure. About halfway to BC from Calgary, makes Banff a great spot to spend a night. It is truly a magnificent hotel. Great for a couple. They claim to be a skier's hotel, but the nearest mountain is Norquay (10 minute drive), followed by Sunshine (20 minute drive), and Lake Louise (30 minute drive). Services at this property are unmatched in Canada. It is a wonderful hotel!
Character and Luxury in Banff
I stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel last week for the third time and was so excited about the updates and renovations. The hotel still has its original character and design, but the rooms are nicely updated in that traditional feel. Loved the outdoor pool and the other wellness amenities. Nice gym. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved this hotel!
Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel - modern luxuries with historic charm
Not many ski destinations afford you the opportunity to stay in an actual castle, but that is exactly what you get to experience when you stay at the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. In mid-December, I had the opportunity to stay at this lovely and luxurious hotel for a night and it did not disappoint. The hotel charms you from the moment you walk into the lobby. Each corner of the Castle in the Rockies was tastefully decorated with festive holiday decor, which really got me into the holiday spirit. Looking out the windows of my corner Deluxe King Room I had lovely views of the stunning castle exterior and surrounding mountains and hotel grounds. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern with accents of historic charm, and the bedding was absolutely heavenly. While you hardly need to leave this full service hotel, which offers guests multiple dining and shopping opportunities along with a full service spa, it is also conveniently located just a short distance away from downtown Banff making it simple to access all that Banff has to offer.
Banff/Lake Louise - Try both Fairmonts for a Best of Both Worlds Trip!
Banff/Lake Louise is one my favorite areas to ski in the world and one of the most beautiful places to ski in the world. When you combine it with a split stay between the 2 historic Fairmont Canadian Hotels in Banff and Lake Louise it is truly the best of both worlds! These Castle in the Rockies Hotels offer not only amazing locations and amenities in each of the resorts, they are also an incredible value in the winter because it is actually of the off season for this incredible area. Because it is a beautiful summer resort as well - winter is actually their value season where you can stay at these amazing resort hotels for a quarter of the price you could in high season--plus you get to ski! In addition to skiing/boarding there are so many winter activities to enjoy at each resort!
