Great Place to Stay!
The Fairmont Lake Louise was fabulous, great service and everyone very happy to be there and helpful. The rooms are small but very comfy. Bathrooms also small, but nice. Housekeeping was great in our room and responded quickly to any need we had. While limited on restaurant choices at the Fairmont, those that are there are good and prices reasonable. The Walliser Stube restaurant was excellent with service to match.
Castle on the lake
The Fairmont Chateau is located in one of the most scenic locations in the world - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 5-star hotel is grandiose and caters to your every need. As beautiful as the hotel is, it is when you go outside that you are truly blown away. The hotel sits on the shore of Lake Louise, which is frozen in the wintertime. Towering above the far end of the lake is the Bow Glacier, which adds to the spectacular setting. You can skate on the lake and, in January, skate or walk among sublime ice sculptures. The hotel has 552 rooms and suites, 6 restaurants, numerous shops and a full-service spa. Check out Alpine Social - a really fun bar which offers local craft beers and every cocktail imaginable. The ski area is only 5 minutes away and the hotel provides free shuttle service back and forth all day.
