Graduation trip for our son.
Chose Black Bear Lodge due to its proximity to the Silver Lake Ski Lift. Very convenient. Ski Butlers came the night we arrived to fit everyone for skis/boots so no time was wasted the next morning. Facility was clean and well-appointed. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub could've been a few degrees warmer, but I'm sure there are regulators on them. Beware however, if you are in a 'loft' unit (408A), there are no bathrooms upstairs and you must be able to maneuver up/down a very tight spiral staircase. Going to the bathroom during the night may not be an option for some. This is our second visit to Deer Valley. Very nice ski area. We had 12" of snow while there...they had only had 2" in the 2 weeks prior.
