Wonderful hotel, gold service is awesome
We usually stay in a condo so we have a place to eat breakfast. The gold service was a great alternative. Great food, excellent service, just an overall wonderful experience. Kudos to the staff at Fairmont Chateau Whistler for being so caring and friendly!
Excellent
Excellent. Food, gym, spa, service, cleanliness, resort atmosphere; ski service; transportation. All top notch. No complaints. The Mallard is excellent (but they don't like you to bring in your own sushi!)
Extraordinary Stay at Chateau Whistler
My boyfriend and I took a long weekend trip to Whislter/Chateau Fairmont and had an extraordinary time. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt the ambiance of an exceptional and special environment, the staff was very friendly, helpful and completely on top of our every request. The bar/lounge was beautiful with a gorgeous stone fireplace and had live music during apres ski and the fire was always lit. When we had one meal that wasn't up to par, the room service concierge did not hesitate to take that item off the menu. Our room was a nice size, the bathroom spacious and the linens, towels and robes all of top quality. And the bed was really comfy! The location is right at the bottom of the mountain and the ski valet took our skis the moment we took them off, and were stowed away for the night free of charge. Cannot say enough good things about our stay. Will definitely come back.
Great property!
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a wonderful hotel with tons of charm. They are located right on the slopes, ski-in ski-out at Blackcomb. The onsite restaurant offers live music, tons of great food and they make their own specialty chocolates!
Middle of April and still winter
Once again my favorite hotel chain Fairmont does not disappoint. The rooms are vary spacious compared to most introductory rooms at other Fairmonts. They start at 300 square feet. The rooms and bathrooms are nicely appointed. The signature Fairmont beds are always a highlight. As always the service is top notch. You are always addressed by your name and asked if there is anything else you need or that can be done. The ski valet is just a flight of stairs to the ski slopes. Often someone is available to help up or down the stairs so you don't even have to worry about that. The multiple restaurant options from grab and go to high end mean you never have to leave the hotel. Of course Whistler Village has numerous other options but nice to know you don't need to leave. If you do want to go to the village it is a short 5-10 minute walk or the valets will drive you over in one of the many vehicles the hotel has. There is a designated lap pool and family pool along with multiple hot tubs sauna and steam rooms to relax in. It is one of the few pools in Whistler that has pool side drink service. I Highly recommend this property.
Ski in/out and perfect for families - Fairmont Chateau Whistler

This past March I had the pleasure of staying a few nights at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. This expansive ski in/out property sits right on the slopes at the base area of Blackcomb Mountain

The property includes tons of on-site amenities, including a large indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness area, daily yoga, concierge, valet, guest courtesy shuttle, ski rental shop that leads directly out to the slopes, multiple on-site eateries, retailers, and more.

I stayed in a Fairmont Room with two queen beds during my visit. The room was spacious (400 sq ft) and decorated with warm and elegant decor. The mattresses and the linens were luxurious and the bathroom was modern and impeccably clean. My guestroom had a relaxing sitting area along with a desk / workstation. The in room Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and the daily housekeeping was a lovely perk.

The only negative I noticed was that you can clearly hear hallway noise from your guestroom. The Fairmont goes out of their way to cater towards families especially during busy holiday weeks. During the time of my visit they prepared activities and events on a daily basis focused around the upcoming Easter holiday. They even had a custom created whimsical centerpiece located in the middle of the main lobby complete with Easter eggs, bunnies, and chicks. The common areas (i.e. main lobby, Mallard lounge, and outdoor pool) were bustling with happy families enjoying their vacations and time together. The only challenging thing was that because the Fairmont was almost sold out during the time of my visit the on-site rental shop was very busy, especially between 4-6 p.m. and they were out of a lot of models and sizes of their skis. The good part is that the on-site shop is connected to many other shops throughout Whistler Blackcomb so gear can be swapped out and exchanged as needed.
