Considered to be a high-end ski resort, Madonna di Campiglio is a top Italy ski resort to experience the “passeggiata,” or Italian elite who enjoy showcasing their fur coats through town. In fact this afternoon ritual generally takes precedence over actually skiing, which is good news for the ski traveler who can enjoy 37 miles of skiing without much crowds or lift lines. But in case there are, 20 high uphill-capacity chairlifts whisk skiers around the resort.

Nearly 50 percent of the resort’s terrain is designated blue (which denotes easy in Europe) and nearly 40 percent of the resorts terrain is red (which denotes intermediate in Europe). At the top of the Pradalago gondola skiers can enjoy incredible views on the above-treeline blue and red runs.
