The Winter Park ski area offers numerous stashes and trails for every ability. Looker's right side of the mountain is a beginner and intermediate cruiser paradise. Novice skiers and those who prefer slower speeds and gentle slopes will find a multitude of trails to explore at their own pace. Plus, beginner skiers can find several green runs from the top of the 11,200-foot Mary Jane, which yields more than 2,000 vertical feet of beginner skiing, back to the base of Winter Park. Few ski resorts can offer beginners that kind of access.
Intermediate to advanced intermediates have so many terrain options they'll think that winterparkskiresort was made just for them. From perfectly spaced glades and sustained cruisers that run the entire length of the mountain, the Winter Park intermediate skiing is standout. But, the best, and most renowned intermediate terrain can be found in Parsenn Bowl, an expansive, breathtaking bowl at over 12,000 feet that offers exclusively blue or dark blue (advanced intermediate) terrain. Experts will be more than pleased with the many challenging mogul runs at Mary Jane, as well as Winter Park's inbound extreme zone: Vasquez Cirque, an annual host of an extreme skiing competition.
The vast and varied terrain of Winter Park also makes it a great ski area for families or groups that have differing levels of skiing ability. Winter Park offers multiple chairlifts that access beginner through expert terrain, allowing everyone in your group or family the chance to meet up and enjoy the chairlift ride together.

First Ski.com travel expiriance
Had an opportunity to go skiing with friends from school days. The vacation was kind of short notice, 3-4 weeks out. We attempted to plan the ski trip as we always do, covering as many details as possible. Needless to say time was ticking, all costs (airline, lodging, etc.) go up the closer we got to travel dates. In exasperation I tried Ski.com, we requested several quotes late one evening and I expected answers to come several days out. Happily by 10am (Colorado time) the next morning all four were in my inbox complete. The quotes were good for three days without pricing changes giving us the time to consider and find peace with quote #2. I would be remiss if I did not mention Katie (mountain adviser extraordinaire). Through a couple of simple emails we were able to finalize and secure the vacation. I am not going to tell you that we couldn’t beat their price, our early estimates on the trip were $50-$100 less than the lowest price on their quotes (if we didn’t miss something). I however am a pessimist so I was waiting for the other foot to fall, trust issues, I know. Flights were as advertised and boarding pass waiting on me. Ground transportation was there and expecting me. Lodging reserved (early check in as a courtesy). Lift tickets waiting at one of 5 places, wherever best fit my needs. Rental equipment waiting, and as good or better than I usually receive. Dining recommendations, activity suggestions, emergency contact numbers for all service providers as well as for Ski.com just in case I needed the heavy hitters (none of which were needed). Trip home was just as flawless. Earlier I mentioned we had their price beat, we are not exactly comparing apples to apples. The extra $50-$100 was easily justified in hot tubs, pool, sauna, full service hotel with restaurant and bar, curbside ground transportation, the list goes on. My highest recommendation is that I will be a return customer. No hassle, no headaches. Thanks Katie we will be talking to you soon !
Great time
It needs grooming machines to groom the hills, too many mogels on too many runs.. Some runs need to be constantly groomed to allow for at least one or more black and blue runs to be mogel free.
skiing and resort
Although the bas was difficult to get to , the skiing was great.
great location
Our ski expert Terry helped us efficiently and we were extremely happy with the turn out. Our accommodations were in a great location, the resort was a great choice seeing we are beginners skiers and it was quiet. The rooms were nice sized, clean and had a full kitchen. The ski resort was right at the complimentary gondola to the village. Couldn't have changed a thing to make it better- well- I could have skied better!!
Great Snow / Great Times
Family had a fantastic time at Winter Park, CO this year, my 3 year old twins learned to ski! Awesome! Planning a return in 2019, Winter Park / 7 Territories offers something for everyone. We love Winter Park / Mary Jane!
great mountain, friendly people
The mountain is great- lots of terrain for everyone - and most was open even though colorado is supposed to be a little short on snow this year. The people who work on the lifts and in the Mountain Village are amongst the friendliest most good natured people I have ever met! really had a great time.
Quick weekend getaway!
I loved the proximity of everything! We took a shuttle to the resort from Denver Airport. The shuttle was easy to find and a comfortable ride. We did not rent a car and didn't need to for our quick trip. Everything we needed was easily within walking distance. We also made use of the complimentary shuttle into Winter Park for dinner.
Good time
Over so we had a good time. We got to do something everything we wanted to
Lee
Arrived Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 and out Thursday, Jan. 26th. We got in a little early, so we got my equipment rental at the main equipment rental place, they were very helpful, but don't know why they said we had to wait until 3:00pm, when they were so slow. I took a lesson on Monday and was very pleased with my instructor 'Barry' he had lots of patience and understanding, he is one of the most positive people I have met. My girlfriend skied the blues and blacks and said they were very groomed and good. I stayed on the greens and was pleased there were so many to get my confidence built up on. I was worried that everyone would be into highly experienced runs. This seemed to be a good resort for all levels of experience. We ate twice at Vertical, one good food the other 'fair'. The Black bowl Soup was great, they had a private booking the night we went, but the owner/manager? said he could get us soup to go, wow, great soup and kindness. The pizza peddler was also very good and the staff great. We ate lunch at Moffat Market, once with my lesson and once just because of the great selection and great staff. Staying on the property was very convenient, we could walk to everything we needed and shop for items to take back to the room. Very pleased with the resort and I cannot say enough about the staff.
Good resort
Great family resort. Lots of runs for all ability groups. Snoasis was a welcome retreat but could use more indoor seating.
Winter Park Colorado, my vote for the best value in skiing out West!
In my opinion, if you want to try a ski trip out West, or if you just plain want to try skiing and never have before, then give the Winter Park ski resort a try. Winter Park Is a high-elevation resort nestled against the continental divide about an hour and 45 minutes from Denver. I find that I can price out a ski trip there for those that have never, ever skied before and I can usually bring it in at a really fantastic price. The ski school there is great, and there is a good variety of terrain for everyone. I am an intermediate, and I love the fact that Winter Park ski resort has bowl skiing near the top for intermediate skiers! For the non skier, Winter park has 3 tubing parks, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. The Zephyr Mountain Inn at the base has condos up to 3 bedrooms in size that are ski in, ski out, and Founders Point is right across the street from the Zephyr, but with a lower price point since it is walk to skiing. There are also a lot of other lodging options up to and including large homes. Give me a call at ext 3692 or email bill@ski.com and let’s discuss a trip to Winter Park!Good
