Snowbird night life is hard to come by, since the resort is nestled eight miles up Little Cottonwood Canyon. And while there is public transportation up and down the canyon, the bus stops running on the early side. Besides with some of North America’s best powder, you want to be in bed early so you’re ready to rip up the mountain the next day. But if partying or least having a couple drinks is high on your list, take advantage of Snowbird’s après scene.
There are a couple options: if it’s sunny celebrate the end of another good day of skiing like a local, with a tall can of PBR, purchased from the General Store, out on the Tram patio. Or head to the Tram Club, in the lower level of the Snowbird Center, for beers and billiards. The Tram Club, considered to be the best of Snowbird bars, also serves wine and cocktails. Patrons can also enjoy a game of darts of foosball. El Chanate in The Cliff Lodge has great happy hour specials, like $2 appetizers. If you’re vacation falls on a Thursday, then El Chanate is the place to be, with Thirsty Thursday specials like $3 margaritas and $2 draft beers.
