While you may not experience a Copper nightlife scene that lasts late into the night, the ski resort is host to a rowdy après ski five afternoons out of the week, which is more than most resorts can say. Copper’s many base area bars and restaurants offer daily specials ranging from $3 Colorado draft beers to discounts on shots and appetizer deals. Many of these bars also offer some great live music, so if you’re looking to cut up a rug consider bringing a pair of comfortable shoes for Copper après-ski.
If you’re looking for live music you have two options: JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavernand Jack’s Bar. You’ll find classic rocker Moe Dixon playing all of the favorites at JJ’s. Jack’s Bar also has a great classic rock cover scene in resident band, Lefty Lucy. Both bands will have you dancing regardless of how hard you skied early that day. And if you’re looking for après deals, Copper bars certainly deliver. And once you’ve worked up a hunger, both JJ’s and Jack’s feature food and drink specials from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. But few bars can beat Incline’s $2.50 PBR and Miller Lite and $3 Colorado-made microbrews. On Sundays you’ll want to head to Endo’s Adrenaline Café, which features build-your-own bloody mary bar, all day.
If it’s a sunny afternoon, there’s no better place in Copper to sit and have a cocktail, than at Jill’s Umbrella Bar. And, Jill offers some of the best happy hours in the village. Their daily specials include with $3 shots and $8 for hot wings and a Coors draft. And if you order off the regular menu you’ll be hard pressed to find any menu item over $12. Plus, Jill’s happy hour starts at 2:30 p.m., before anyone else’s, making it a great spot to get the parted started. Pizza Carlo, in the center of the base village plaza, offers incredible drink and shot specials, and $2 off appetizers from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
