Although Solitude is known as a powderhound’s haven—thanks to its 500 annual inches—it offers beginner skiers about 20 percent of its terrain. Solitude will please beginner skiers looking to experience the beauty and incredible snow conditions of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Less experienced beginners and first-timers will especially appreciate the Link chairlift and the gentle, green runs that surround it. When beginners feel ready to explore more of the mountain, they have two choice areas to explore: the cluster of trails off the Moonbeam Express or the long, green run off Sunrise chairlift.
