Intermediate skiers can enjoy a large chunk of Solitude’s terrain—about 50 percent of it, in fact. That includes runs from the resort’s summit and into its beloved Honeycomb Canyon. To warm up and acclimate yourself with Solitude’s terrain, intermediates will want to take a few laps on the wide, pristinely groomed trails off of the Apex Express or Moonbeam Express chairlift. Once you’re feeling ready test your mettle out on the Eagle Express chairlift’s many long, sustained groomers, or venture to Solitude’s 10,000-plus-foot Top Summit. From the Top Summit intermediates can zoom down Deer Trail to the ski area’s base or drop into the dark blue run that runs the length of Honeycomb Canyon and offers incredible views.
